Community Service
By working with others in their schools and communities to identify and perform service opportunities, girls develop character, leadership, organizational and communication skills. They become actively contributing citizens and responsible community members through the services they perform.
Girls & Pearls Shower (GPS)
Girls and Pearls Showers are hosted annually to equip girls with the necessities needed to navigate through the financial and transitional challenges of college entrance (dorm room necessities, school supplies, luggage, toiletries, etc.). This is also a casual and fun opportunity for RARE mentors and supporters to share words of wisdom and inspiration to help prepare girls for life after high school.
Legacy Scholarship Awards Luncheon & “Coming-of-Age” Ceremony
Each program participant will receive a $250 book scholarship. Outstanding program participants will be selected and awarded scholarships to the college/university of their choice (awards ranging from $1,000 – $5,000). The number and amounts of awards will be determined by preceding year’s fundraising efforts.
