During this time of year everything seems to appear brighter, more beautiful, and more abundant. It rains more, the grass is greener, trees display a richer foliage, and it seems that the most beautiful flowers appear out of nowhere. Even the animals know that something is changing as they come out of hibernation. Some of us decide to focus more on our health; some engage in spring cleaning to remove out the old and make room for the new. It is a time when young hearts are excited about future opportunities for graduation and possibly starting college life. It seems that everyone and everything is more colorful and active. Our hearts are filled with such joy, excitement, anticipation for this new season.
What is it that gives us this energy and hope? “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV) God in His divine order placed in every living creature, the desire to know when it is time for change. He did not intend for us to remain in the same state or position. “But we all . . ., are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Spring is defined as a time to leap or jump suddenly with rapid movement. It is a time when our hearts are moved with a strong desire to leave the past behind. It is a time to arise and make changes! What are you anticipating? Be it graduation, college preparation, or an opportunity for a better life, remember that God has placed unique gifts inside of you. With each gift, He has instilled in you a burning passion and the ability to complete it. Watch for the signs which He reveals in this new season of your life. Live your life with energy, anticipation, and expectancy knowing that God will soon reveal His divine purpose for you. He has always been, is currently, and will always be there to guide you. Just trust Him, follow His lead, and talk to Him often.
